the queen visits Cork

HRH Queen Elizabeth II visited Cork today. I went out to Washington street to see her pass by.
On her way out the road Philip was sitting on the side of the car near us, and she outfoxed us by switching sides for the return leg!

there was a good crowd, and the craic was very good.

I did see the public order and mounted units heading off sharpish at one stage, but overall there didn’t seem to be much trouble. Brilliant operation by the Gardai.
