I went for a fish pedicure at Feet Dreams this morning.
When you go in you’ll meet Nick or Breda, organise some small paperwork (confirming that you
haven’t had fake tan recently and so on) and they they’ll show you to your tank.
There’s about 8 tanks, each with a couch beside them. You sit at the tank, take off your shoes and then wash your feet in a standard foot spa. Meanwhile the cover comes off the tank and the fish start to get excited! After a quick wash of your feet you can put them into the tank. The second your feet are in the fish rush over and start nibbling away at your feet. This is a little ticklish, but in a nice way. The fish are very enthusiastic and cover your entire foot. All you have to do is sit there and relax – the fish do all the work.
After your 15 minutes or so are up, you take your feet out and dry them, and off you go on your way, with lovely smooth feet!
I’m not one for these sorts of treatments, but it’s a very refreshing feeling.
Thanks to Nick and Breda for letting me record the session.
