Sunday, July 24th, 2011We paid a visit to Fota Gardens today. It’s a smashing place to go for a quiet walk amongst some really spectacular gardens.

it’s free to walk around the grounds, you only have to pay €3 for the car park on exit.

otter in the river lee
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011I saw an otter eating a fish in the river this morning, just by the River Lee hotel. I think the swan wanted the fish 
I only had my cameraphone with me, so it’s a small pic. The otter is by the bottom left of the pillar on the left.

Sunday, October 3rd, 2010I was up in Dublin for a couple of days this week, so I went to the zoo!
I lucked out and caught these elephants having a little swim.

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010I’ve seen lads fly fishing here before – just by the River Lee (formerly Jury’s) hotel.
There’s plenty of small trout there – maybe they’ll get the big one!
