Wednesday, December 1st, 2010snowy Dublin
Monday, November 29th, 2010I had a short trip to Dublin- arrived yesterday and left today. There was just enough time for a couple of photographs.
The window displays in Brown Thomas look great:

The lights in Dublin look much better than Cork. It pains me to say it but it’s true. Rather wonderfully it started to snow as we walked up Grafton Street looking at the lights.

Stephen’s Green looked brilliant in the snow and ice.

these were all taken with a Nokia N8 cameraphone btw. I’m starting to really like it
montpellier and paris taken with nokia n8
Tuesday, November 23rd, 2010I’m just back from a short trip to Montpellier and Paris. I decided just to bring my new Nokia N8, to see if you really can just take a mobile phone on holidays.
Montpellier is a lovely city, with beautiful architecture and clear signs of a Roman influence.

There are plenty of parks in the city – which leads to wonderful sights like people practising tightrope walking!

If it’s raining, or even if it’s not, the aquarium is well worth a visit.

The fountains must be lovely during the heat of the summer months.

We were fortunate to be there for the start of the Christmas lights.

We spent a day and a half in Paris. We did not climb up Notre Dame!

The Christmas lights were switched in Paris on the night we were there. The whole Champs Elysses is bedecked with lights, and a brillliant Christmas market.
So, realistically can you just use a mobile phone as your camera on a trip?
You tell me! I’ll do another blog post with the quirks and things to watch out for when using your mobile phone as a camera.

Monday, August 9th, 2010Luxury liner The World visited Cobh today.
The unusual thing about this liner is you can buy a residence on board and live on the ship!
