Firstly two pocket references. these are great when you’re out shopping – use them to decide which of the many wines out there to buy, which is ready to drink and to settle arguments around the table.
More serious books:
- Windows on the World Complete Wine Course: 2009 Edition. This is a wine text book, handy to teach yourself about wine theory – everything from history of wine to wine making methods.

- Oz and Jame’s big wine adventure, seasons 1 and 2.
I particularly like this as I can identify with James’ stumbling efforts with an alien culture. I like to think I dress better than he does though. - Wine. A BBC4 tv series.
